Here’s how I got here


In 1984, I established my own Consultancy, providing bespoke high-level database solutions to small organisations.

Over the years, my experience widened to cover the growing range of IT needs of PC users in small office and home office environments.

Then, in 2002, I decided to move away from database consultancy as more “off-the-peg” information-handling solutions had become available. This gave me the opportunity to broaden my range of Support and IT Consultancy Services, but I continued to concentrate on meeting the needs of small organisations and individual professionals, as many work in a home-office environment with no colleagues or specialised IT expertise to call upon.

From there, it was a natural progression to start to offer support to home users.

From 1994-2009

I also kept a sharp focus on the real-world use of IT and micro-managing in business through involvement in producing a bi-monthly magazine for healthcare professionals – including subscriptons management (for which I designed the subscriber database, of course), IT and desktop publishing.

1976 Diploma in Marketing – Chartered Institute of Marketing
1983 Certificate in Systems Analysis and Design – Control Data Institute, Manchester
1983 Certificate in Systems Analysis and Design – National Computing Centre, Manchester
